Alignment
Throughout the speaker industry, components vary from part to part. Every tweeter and woofer that comes off the manufacturing line has a slightly different frequency response due to small inconsistencies.

Crafting Consistency
These differences stem from the small inconsistencies that are unavoidable in any manufacturing process. A little extra adhesive here, a slightly different lead wire there, and the result is small peaks and dips scattered across the frequency range. Most speaker component manufacturers work within an acceptable tolerance and leave it at that. We believe your audio experience deserves a much higher standard.
With DSP equalization, we can go further. Every speaker we build is tuned individually to match the reference response to within +/- 0.5 dB, ensuring that every Rockhopper that leaves our hands sounds like our reference. This calibration eliminates the manufacturing variances, providing a level of sonic accuracy that is rare in the industry, ensuring your music is heard exactly as it was intended to sound.
The DSP amplifier at the heart of the Rockhopper was designed with two priorities above all others: fidelity and longevity. For the past 30 years we have designed audio systems for control rooms, museums, and commercial installations, environments where audio quality is critical and failure is not an option. That experience is built into every aspect of our hardware today.

Inside the Rockhopper Core

Premium Circuitry
Individual Tuning
Decades of Power
Gold plated circuitry, the finest audio grade chips and electrolytic capacitors, and a 100watt (total) 4 channel amplifier that delivers a low noise, clean output with less than 0.08% THD rating.
Every unit is tuned to within +/- 0.5 dB of our reference. This level of software calibration ensures that the hardware components work in perfect harmony to produce a flat, accurate response.
Some of our installations have been running continuously for over 25 years. The Rockhopper is built to the same standard. We design for a lifetime of performance, not just the warranty period.
